What this tool helps you do

See whether a move still has structure

Trend Persistence helps you judge whether recent price action still looks durable, is drifting sideways, or is starting to stretch. Instead of relying on one number, it gives you a compact structure read across persistence, Z-score context, regime, and reversal risk.

Trend Persistence How durable the recent move has looked.
Z Trend Persistence How unusual that persistence is versus recent history.
Regime + Reversal A quick read on market state and whether the move may be tiring.
Extension Watch Flags when a persistent move may still be alive, but is getting closer to exhaustion.

TSL Trend Persistence FAQ

Quick answers on what the tool measures, how to read it, and which symbols it supports.

What does trend persistence measure?

Trend persistence evaluates how consistently a trend persists over time using direction, risk-adjusted strength, and stability.

Which symbols can I analyze?

Stocks (AAPL), ETFs (SPY), crypto (BTC-USD), and forex pairs (EURUSD=X).

Is trend persistence for education only?

Yes—our tools are designed for learning and simulation. No financial advice.

How should I interpret a high trend persistence score?

High trend persistence suggests the current move has strong directional consistency and stable strength. It does not predict future returns, but indicates the move has persisted recently.

What lookback window does trend persistence use?

Trend Persistence starts with a rolling persistence calculation, then adds smoothing and normalized context layers so the score is easier to compare against recent history. Exact internal settings may vary by release.

What does “Random” regime mean?

“Random” means the move currently lacks strong persistence and clean directional structure. It does not automatically mean bearish or bullish. It means the trend quality is weak enough that price may behave more noisily or less predictably.

What does “Extension Watch” mean?

“Extension Watch” means a move may still be persistent, but it is getting mature enough that you should watch for exhaustion, loss of quality, or reversal risk rather than assuming the trend can keep extending cleanly.

Does trend persistence work across assets and markets?

Yes. Trend persistence supports stocks, ETFs, crypto and major forex pairs via our market data sources. Results are normalized to stay consistent across symbols.

Can I export results?

You can copy values and screenshots today; downloadable reports will be added in a future release.
